Thispolicyprovidesguidanceforemployeeuseofsocialmedia, whichshouldbebroadlyunderstoodfor purposes of this policy to include blogs, wikis, microblogs, message boards, chat rooms, electronic newsletters,onlineforums,socialnetworkingsites, andothersitesandservicesthatpermituserstoshare information with others in a contemporaneous manner. The following are guidelines for AbhiCure employees participating in socialmedia.

  1. EmployeesneedtoknowandadheretoAbhicure’sCodeofConduct,EmployeeHandbook, and other company policies when using social media in reference to Abhicure.
  2. Employeesshouldbeawareoftheeffecttheiractionsmayhaveontheirimages, aswellas AbhiCure’simage. Theinformationthatemployeespostorpublishmaybepublicinformation for a longtime.
  3. EmployeesshouldbeawarethatAbhiCuremayobservecontentandinformationmadeavailable by employees through social media. Employees should use their best judgment in posting materialthatisneitherinappropriatenorharmfultoAbhiCure, itsemployees, orcustomers.
  4. Although not an exclusive list, some specific examples of prohibited social media conduct include posting commentary, content, or images that are defamatory, pornographic, proprietary, harassing,libelous,orthatcancreateahostileworkenvironment.
  5. Employeesarenottopublish, postorreleaseanyinformationthatisconsideredconfidentialor notpublic. Iftherearequestionsaboutwhatisconsideredconfidential, employeesshouldcheck withtheHumanResourcesDepartmentand/orsupervisor.
  6. Socialmedianetworks, blogsandothertypesofonlinecontentsometimesgeneratepressand mediaattentionorlegalquestions.Employeesshouldrefertheseinquiriestoauthorized AbhiCurespokespersons.
  7. Ifemployeesfindencounterasituationwhileusingsocialmediathatthreatenstobecome antagonistic, employeesshoulddisengagefromthedialogueinapolitemannerandseekthe advice of asupervisor.
  8. Employeesshouldgetappropriatepermissionbeforeyourefertoorpostimagesofcurrentor former employees, members, vendors or suppliers. Additionally, employees shouldget appropriatepermissiontouseathirdparty'scopyrights, copyrightedmaterial, trademarks, service marks or other intellectualproperty.
  9. Social media use shouldn't interfere with employee’s responsibilities at AbhiCure. AbhiCure’s computersystemsaretobeusedforbusinesspurposesonly. WhenusingAbhiCure’scomputer systems, useofsocialmediaforbusinesspurposesisallowed(ex:Facebook,Twitter,AbhiCure blogsandLinkedIn), butpersonaluseofsocialmedianetworksorpersonalbloggingofonline contentisdiscouragedandcouldresultindisciplinaryaction.
  10. Subject to applicable law, after‐hours online activity that violates the AbhiCure’s Code of Conductoranyothercompanypolicymaysubjectanemployeetodisciplinaryactionor termination.
  11. Ifemployeespublishcontentafter‐hoursthatinvolvesworkorsubjectsassociatedwith AbhiCure, adisclaimershouldbeused, suchasthis:“Thepostingsonthissitearemyownand maynotrepresentAbhiCure’spositions, strategiesoropinions.”
  12. It is highly recommended that employees keep AbhiCure related social media accounts separate from personal accounts, ifpractical.
  13. FollowallapplicableAbhiCurepolicies. Forexample, youmustnotshareconfidentialor proprietaryinformationaboutAbhiCureandyoumustmaintainpatientprivacy. Amongthe policies most pertinent to this discussion are those concerning patient confidentiality, governmentaffairs, mutualrespect, politicalactivity, Computer, E-mail&InternetUse, the AbhiCure Integrity Program, photography and video, and release of patient information to media.
  14. Writeinthefirstperson. WhereyourconnectiontoAbhiCureisapparent, makeitclearthat youarespeakingforyourselfandnotonbehalfofAbhiCure. Inthosecircumstances, youshould includethisdisclaimer:"Theviewsexpressedonthis[blog;website]aremyownanddonot reflecttheviewsofmyemployer."Consideraddingthislanguageinan"Aboutme"sectionof your blog or social mediaprofile.
  15. IfyouidentifyyouraffiliationtoAbhiCure, yoursocialmediaactivitiesshouldbeconsistent withAbhiCure’shighstandardsofprofessionalconduct.
  16. IfyoucommunicateinthepublicinternetaboutAbhiCureorAbhiCure-relatedmatters, you mustdiscloseyourconnectionwithAbhiCureandyourroleatAbhiCure.
  17. Beprofessional, usegoodjudgmentandbeaccurateandhonestinyourcommunications;errors, omissionsorunprofessionallanguageorbehaviorreflectpoorlyonAbhiCure, andmayresultin liability for you or AbhiCure. Be respectful and professional to fellow employees, business partners, competitors andpatients.
  18. Ensurethatyoursocialmediaactivitydoesnotinterferewithyourworkcommitments.
  19. AbhiCure strongly discourages “friending” of patients on social media websites. Staff in patient carerolesgenerallyshouldnotinitiateoracceptfriendrequestsexceptinunusualcircumstances suchasthesituationwhereanin-personfriendshippre-datesthetreatmentrelationship.
  20. AbhiCurediscouragesstaffinmanagement/supervisoryrolesfrominitiating“friend”requests withemployeestheymanage. Managers/supervisorsmayacceptfriendrequestsifinitiatedby theemployee, andifthemanager/supervisordoesnotbelieveitwillnegativelyimpactthework relationship.
  21. AbhiCuredoesnotendorsepeople, products,servicesandorganizations. OfficialAbhiCure accountsshouldnotbeusedtoprovidesuchendorsements.Forpersonalsocialmediaaccounts whereyourconnectiontoAbhiCureisapparent, youshouldbecarefultoavoidimplyingthatan endorsement of a person or product is on behalf of AbhiCure, rather than a personal endorsement.
